If you’re on our social media, or know us in general, you’ll know that we are big fans of gin, and can’t get enough of the abundance of local craft distilleries we have in South Africa.
So let’s welcome Cape Town Gin Route – The Pepperclub Hotel & Spa decided it was time to pay homage to the gin distilleries they have on their doorstep, and thus Cape Town Gin Route was born.
The aim is to celebrate the skills of 6 inner-city distilleries, within 6kms of each other, that boast over 20 different gins to try. We’re talking Hope on Hopkins, Musgrave Gin, The Woodstock Gin Company, New Harbour Distillery, Pienaar & Son, and the Cape Town Gin Company.
The Cape Town Gin Route wants to share these incredible local industries with visitors and locals alike, and create yet another reason for food and drink connoisseurs to visit the city. Who knows, you might discover a new favorite or two to add to your gin tray!
The website below allows you to get to know each distillery and plan your visit around this fragrant spirit. Keep your eyes open because in a few weeks they’ll be launching a guided full-day tour of all the distilleries, including tasting and even crafting your own gin.
