Die Wingerd {Review}

I love discovering new eateries that are completely different and truly magical. I was invited to a foodie meetup hosted by Zomato, for reviewers and foodies alike, to spend the afternoon at Die Wingerd, this past weekend.

Die Wingerd is part of Protea Hotel Stellenbosch, but has its own entrance separate from the hotel. It’s located next to De Zalze Golf Estate, with spectacular views that you can only describe by seeing in person.

We were treated to a buffet spread of what they have on the menu. This included chicken wings, fish, ribs, jalapeño poppers, fried halloumi, pizzas, calamari, and more! What stood out for me was the combos which they serve is a wine barrel plate. It just adds to the experience. The food was amazing, and it’s impossible to single out one single dish as being the best.

Die Wingerd really is a place to take your family and friends to. They are extremely kid friendly and family orientated, yet still being classy and different. I have already made plans to go back there! You can check out Die Wingerd on Zomato right here, and let me know what you think?
